So, I'm taking control of the situation. Happiness is a choice. Instead of dragging you down with the monotony of woe, I'm going to make a Thankful List. Look around, people who are grateful for even the smallest things, are also happy. Here's to turning a frown upside down!
My March 20 Thankful List (of 20)
- sunshine (partly) on this cloudy day
- full shelves in my pantry
- clean laundry
- toothbrushes and paste
- cell phones
- Snapchat with my family
- nail polish
- historical fiction
- essential oils
- tile floors
- fresh air (even when it's chilly)
- socks
- opportunities to work
- smiles
- refrigerators
- avocados
- salt!!
- clean sheets
- campers
- contacts for accurate vision
- country living
- leggings
- Dreft scented t-shirts (and the little one who wears them)
- a dependable vehicle
- our dog
- pillows that my head can sink into
- YA novels with smart girls who might do dumb stuff
- old stuff
- new technologies
- my life
What a lovely way to celebrate the joy in every day - even when you're in a funk.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm alllll about socks and pillows. :)
I love the very idea of turning around your day with a thankful list. I need to do that more often!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to turn around a grumpy day! I was trying to decide this morning, if I could write a whole post on how good it feels to put on my flannel pajamas each night when I get home from walking the dog. Maybe I should try a list like this instead.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in the pajama pants and all the feels you've got going there!
DeleteThis was exactly what I needed! Leggings and YA novels with smart girls who do dumb stuff are spot on! :) Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYes! I know that funk well. What a great way to remind yourself that there are things in your life to be grateful for!
ReplyDeletePS - I'm all about salt too, but have to limit it to try to keep my BP down! Sad times . . .
